Our Edge-to-Edge quilting services include your choice of Edge-to-Edge (E2E) design from our extensive library of designs, the thread and bobbins necessary to quilt the quilt, and a meeting (either online or in person) to discuss your quilt, and what you would like to see so that we can emphasize your amazing quilt top (this is where we finalize which design you would like, your thread and bobbin colour, and any extras that you have purchased--like what quilted coat size, what the custom block would look like, etc).
We have options for you to purchase batting directly from our bolt if that is easier for you. We can quilt out the cut lines for quilted coats both for human adults and dogs. Also, something you don't see all the time, there is an option for us to customize a block in the quilt to give it that custom look, without the custom price. If you would like these add-ons for your quilt, find them in on our longarm quilting page and add them to your order. You do not have to purchase the designs from this site for your quilt.
We are not trimming or binding quilts at this time. Although we do know of someone who loves to bind quilts, so let us know if you are interested in their contact information.
The first step to submitting your quilt for longarming with us is to multiply your length of quilt by your width of the quilt top. That is the quantity that you are going to enter for your purchase even though your backing is bigger. Once your purchase has gone through, we'll need to get in touch to arrange how we are getting your quilt top and backing and we will need you to give us some information about your quilt and how you want it quilted. You can either fill this form out in advance (https://forms.gle/1BtmqedGTQAcM5it8) or we can go through these questions together when we meet.
Backing must be 4" larger than the top in all directions, add 8" to the length and the height of the quilt when working it out. This is necessary because of how a longarm loads the backing. Long seems if you are not using a wideback fabric for your backing will be loaded so they appear horizontally. Batting must be 3" larger than the quilt top in all directions.
Turn around times are approximately 2 - 4 weeks on average after reciept of both the quilt and payment, although you can confirm timing with Tammy by emailing her at Tammy@TheQuilting.ca.
